- Sociology of Fame and Lady Gaga
University of South Carolina: No, you won’t get extra credit for wearing sirloin to class. As the syllabus warns, “This is not a course in Lady Gaga but in sociology; and it is not a course about Lady Gaga as much as about the culture of the fame as…
I’ll be honest, Sociology of Fame and Lady Gaga sounds like it absolutely could be alright, the culture of fame and our strive for beauty built around ideals that are completely and utterly insane? I could go for that.

I’m titling this with the names of these artists because, despite the fact I really enjoyed Overworlds and Underworlds last week, the Quay Brothers are insanely out of order. The website, a whole week after their event ended, still has no indication of the artists mentioned. Interiews with them,…
So, Patrick saved me the job of having to post about this.
Go, PADDY! I did like the girl with the leaves and the one with the masks, but I mean, that’s about all I know..

This is a beautiful image. Not too disimilar to how I’ve been laying out my ‘attachment’ objects.
me collectors room, contemporary art created in 2009 by a real Berlin doctor Thomas Olbricht, one of Germany’s most important collections of over 2500 pieces, is now in exhibition for the first time in France. One of the most striking part of this exhibition is the reconstruction of the Kunst und Wunderkammer (remember that we have already mentioned the German word in one of our previous posts on cabinet of curiosities ?), an attempt to bring the world of art, nature and science all together. You will get to see as well works from 16th century such as engravings of Albrecht Dürer, of Martin Schongauer or of Francisco de Goya to our days such as the Chapman brothers, Cindy Sherman or Vic Muniz. If you have a curious mind, you have 10 days left to discover the fantasy world in this beautiful place La Maison Rouge (the Red House).La Maison Rougefondation Antoine de Galbert10 boulevard de la Bastille 75012 PARIST. +33 (0)1 40 01 08 81E. info@lamaisonrouge.orgWed – Sun from 11:00 am – 7:00 pmEntrace: 7€
Obviously I couldn’t attend this exhibition, but the layout and general aesthetic of the space is beautiful, it holds both clinical and chaotic qualities - something that I’m aiming for with my Post* show installation. A conglomeration of extractions of a reality, my reality. Which is equally anal as it is hectic. Food for though & what not.
Absolutely a bit true.

Sergio Cerchi. Rain. Oil on canvas, 40 x 31,5.
Obviously this caught my eye due to it’s similarities to the lightbulb in the studio space that I’m currently working with. To keep or not to keep?
